Geoffrey Hubona has been using PLS-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) software to analyze research data since 2001. Many of his published papers are based on PLS-SEM analyses. He began using SmartPLS in 2006 and began to collaborate with Christian Ringle (the original developer of SmartPLS) and Jörg Henseler in 2007. Also in 2006, he began to regularly produce and present well-attended PLS-based SEM workshops at the yearly International AMCIS conference, and at other venues, including Executive Education workshops in Buckhead (Atlanta, GA). Attendees for these face-to-face workshops travel from Canada, the United States, Central America, Europe, and occasionally, the Middle East.

In cooperation with SmartPLS and PLS-School, we are offering a synchronous, live, interactive, video- and audio-supported online workshop for structural equation modeling (SEM) partial least squares (PLS) path modeling using SmartPLS on Friday, Nov 6 and Saturday, Nov 7. The live, synchronous, online workshop will be conducted using the award-winning eLearning platform Elluminate Live ! The purpose of the two sessions is to provide live, “hands-on” demonstrations of the basic and intermediate techniques of performing PLS Path Modeling using SmartPLS.

There will be two integrated sessions, the first one on Friday Nov 6 from 9:00AM until 12:30PM EST and the second session on Saturday Nov 7 from 9:00AM until 12:30PM. All that is required to participate is a fast, reliable Internet connection (not dial-up) and a set of inexpensive headphones with a mic (cost: $13 anywhere). The total fee to participate in the two integrated sessions is $250 USD. Registrants who provide evidence of current full-time student status are eligible for a 40% discount. There is no cost for participants to use the Elluminate Live ! platform. Participants will receive the SmartPLS software, all training materials, data sets, and slides from the training sessions, and permanent access to all of the presented live material on CD after the workshop is completed, including all video, audio and “hands-on” demonstrations and exercises.
