Credig points : The students will earn 2,5 credit points for participating in the class included required exercises. The student will earn additional 2,5 credit points for submitting an acceptable paper with reference to the course topics.
Course description : The course will include lectures, practical exercises in spesifying, estimating and testing models by means of the program LISREL 8.70. The course introduces methodologies in analyzing latent variables. The following topics will be included:
- “The latent variable paradigm”
- Confirmatory factor analysis
- Complete structural model
- MIMIC-models
- Assesment of model fit
- Longitudinal models
- Recursive models
- Factor models (primary ans second-order) in longitudinal designs
- Latent variable growth curve modelling
- Multi-sample analysis
It is suggested that the participants has completed the course Measuring and analyzing constructs in psychological research which is offered in May. However this suggestion is not a necessary prerequisite for attending the SEM class.
